I've been a bit of a slacker on the blog lately, more details on that to come! But here is a little gem of a conversation Emmy and I had this morning that I couldn't pass up posting!!! She cracks me up.
Em: Mommy are you Maisy’s sister?
Me: No, I am her Mommy.
Em: Are you an adult?
Me: Yep, I’m an adult.
Em: I will be an adult someday too.
Me: Yes you will be.
Em: Then I can hold the tiny baby geckos in my hand and jump in the pool.
Me: Yes, among other things.
Em: And I will look like Daddy.
Me: Oh, okay.
Then I hurried and grabbed my laptop before I forgot what she said. We just love this girl.
This picture is from our last grocery trip. Emmy's good behavior lasts about 20 minutes, and she was well beyond that time limit so I did what any good mother would do to keep her sanity. Gave her a chocolate covered granola bar and told her she had to sit in the cart if she wanted to eat it and then ran like a crazy person to get the shopping done before the granola bar was gone!

What a cute conversation! And I totally know what you mean about the chocolate granola bar!! Sometimes it's the only thing to do.
Oh the memories -- let me recall how mary told the check out lady that i was wearing my pajamas and I hadnt taken a shower yet.... I do think that was the same trip that she got the can of frozen oj stuck to her lip... Gotta love kids!!!!
What a cutie! I can totally relate to your grocery shoping experiences - I totally rely on bribery with Lilly - I was never going to be that kind of mom - but here I am! :) Your little Maisy is a-dorable - Love the pictures! Can't wait to see you thursday!
What a character Bekah. She is going to be a really smarty pants like her mom.
I love the pictures of Maisy! You have two very good lookin' girls. You'll have your hands full when they are almost adults jumping into pools with lizards. :)
